I received a grant to attend the Addictions Certificate at Central Ohio Technical College. This will go well with my master’s degree. I will be able to become a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC).
Obtaining an addictions certification will enhance my ability to serve a diverse client base and establish my practice as a trusted resource for addiction recovery.
The certificate includes these courses:
- SWA-111 Addiction Studies I 3
- SWA-121 Direct Practice Skills 3
- PSY-100 Introduction to Psychology 3
- PSY-200 Abnormal Psychology 3
- SWA-211 Mental Health and Wellness 3
- SWA-251 Addiction Studies II 3
I’ll be writing about my first semester taking SWA 111 and SWA 121.
I’ll have a lot on my plate but I can do it!
