Course Description
This is an asynchronous online course. You get to set the pace of your completion. The next weekly module will open for you once you have completed the previous module.
This course explores chemical dependency issues from a historical, cultural, and legal perspective. Current theories of substance use and addictive disorders are presented, as well as physiological effects and categorization of numerous addictive substances. An overview of treatment and prevention will also be included.

Another easy week for this course. I’m loving the readings about addiction. I’m even getting my loved ones involved in the readings with facts and figures. The discussion board post was about why some high school students use drugs and others do not.
